Playa Blanca

Playa Blanca is the most modern tourist resort of Lanzarote, here like Costa Teguise and Puerto del Carmen, you can find all types of accommodation like hotels, apartments, aparthotels, bungalows, villas and rural houses. To find accommodation in Playa Blanca clik here. If you also need a car rental in Lanzarote clik on.

In Playa Blanca you will find the best beaches in Lanzarate, that are called the Papagayo Beaches and they are 4 diferents beaches side by side, if you approach by car you must pay a small fee to enter, but if you approach walking side by side to the sea seaside it is free of charge, access is not complicated and if you are not going with children it will be ok going by foot, just go to the Hotel Papagayo Arena and park around it and walk to the beach, once there is easy access to the first beach, it's a nice ride and the first Papagayo beach is about 500 meters from the Papagayo Arena Hotel.

The 4* Hotel Papagayo Arena is one of the more affordable hotels all inclusive and well managed in Lanzarote, for those who have children and who wish to spend a stay without leaving the hotel and with all-inclusive service this is a good option. The Beaches of Papagayo are just 5 or 10 minutes away from this hotel. In the Beaches of Papagayo there is a restaurant but it is not recommended to eat there because it is very expensive, so we recommend bringing your own food and water to spend the entire day. Playa Blanca also has other beaches, Playa Dorada side by side to 4* Hotel Hesperia Playa Dorada and 5* Hotel Princesa Yaiza, and there is another beach called Playa Flamingo in the other side of Playa Blanca, this beach is inside of the Playa Flamingo Apartments. All these beaches are great for the family and children because have all the tourist facilities necessary to enjoy the beach with your family. Please do not miss the private port of Marina Rubicon inPlaya Blanca because is real beautiful to walk around, eat and have a tea or a coffee, we recommend to visit this new and nice marina in Playa Blanca.

We must not forget that Playa Blanca has also a port which allows us to move to Fuerteventura, our beautiful neighbor island, in a very short period of time, in about 20-30 minutes you can reach Fuerteventura. There are two diferents companies that bind Fuerteventura and Lanzarote and these companies are Fred Olsen and Naviera Armas, both of them with regular transfers without interruption from 7 am to 8 pm, please check their schedule in your hotel before beacuse winter and summer has diferents schedules. Fred Olsen company just reach Fuerteventura (Corralejo) in 20 minutes, the ship that is used is a very new catamaran boat that is very beautiful, and Naviera Armas takes about 40 minutes but cheaper, just have a look once you are having fun in the beach or go around the port to have a look to them and choose which ship would be the best to reach you to Fuerteventura beaches of Corralejo, one of the best beaches in the world

Fred Olsen costs about 65€ back to back 2 pesons with car and two persons with Naviera Armas costs about € 50 back to back with car, just one person without car the cost is about 18€. The price also depends whether you are a Canary Island resident or not you will have discounts. We recommend spending a day in Fuerteventura (Corralejo), on the Dunes of Corralejo, which is an incredible natural setting, not in a vain is a National Protected Park. The more adventurous and if you like driving you can reach the beaches of Jandia to the south, you can reach Jandía in about one hours and forty-five minutes (1:45 minutes), in Jandía you will fin the best beaches in Europe, they are incredible. We recommend going directly to Jandia or Costa Calma, without stopping at other sites. To travel the entire island of Fuerteventura in just 1 day is impossible because it is twice as big as Lanzarote but it has many interesting places that if you have time you must visit.
