Famara Beach
Is about 2 km. s long and about 100 m. s wide depending on the tide. The beach is usually very windy and the water is never calm. It is of fine golden sand mixed with rocks. This beach is ideal for surfing all year round. Towards the end of the beach you will find the Kitesurf area. If you are interested in surfing or kitesurfing just visit one of the Schools in the nearby village. Always be aware of the strong currents. This beach can be very dangerous for swimming. Lifeguards are only on the beachduring the summer months.
