The Farmer Monument and the Museum House were done to immortalize the hard works of Lanzarote´s rural farmers.
The Farmer Monument, also is known as the Fertility Monument. The Monumente was done by César Manrique, Cesar to build this Monument has used water tanks from the fishing boats.
The Museum House is an old farm country house that was restored by César Manrique. Cesar tried to rescue & preserve the architecture of the Canary Islands, the island´s history and traditions. The museum also have an extraordinary collection of equipment and instruments used by the farmers through the times that allow the visitor to recover great part of the history and traditions of the island.
