The Green Caves (Cueva de los Verdes) are in the north of Lanzarote, and the cave belongs to the Corona´s Volcano, a big volcanoe in the north side of the island. The Green Caves has big underground grottoes. The Corona´s Volcano has also one of the largest volcanic galleries in the world, around 6 kms.
The caves galleries were done in prehistoric eruption from the Corona´s Volcano. The surface of the lava cooled rapidly and hardened, whilst steaming lava continued to flow underneath the petrified basaltic layer, you must see this turistic atraction.
